Day 14 Congratulations

Day 14 you did it

Congratulations you have survived the first two weeks of Lock down

Losing our freedom and coming to terms with something as crazy as this lock down can make us feel out of control. Obviously, this is a much bigger sacrifice for some as it is for others, but it has and will affect us all in some shape or form. I can imagine that our important essential support workers would love to be made to stay at home with the family, whilst others, are finding it lonely and may be struggling after losing connection to family support in the physical sense. These first two weeks have been a time to try and make sense of it all and it will have affected different people in different ways. Some may have blobbed out, binged watched all their favourite TV programs, eaten too much and slept a lot. Others may have struggled to find their identity and stressed over finding ways to adjust their business or job role in order to survive the aftermath. Or maybe you are one who have browsed the internet to find out as much as you could about this Covid-19 virus, researching, watching all the social media video’s counting the numbers and being drawn in by the media fear mongering. However you chose to tackle the last two weeks it is time to take stock as to whether this has worked for you or not. Let week 3 be a time to plan. But plan without fear. Be creative in your thinking, connect with others online or on the phone who have similar careers and work together to make the future even better. There are so many people who I meet that have amazing ideas, creations, business models in their heads but never execute them. One thing COVID-19 has taught us is to come together. We need to support each other during this time but especially when we start to climb out. Make it your mission to support local businesses, small businesses. I know it may cost more to start but the country will be able to get back on its feet much quicker if we reduce buying from overseas all the time.
