Delete Do you sometimes wish you could just hit the ‘delete’ button? What an amazing tool that would be. Well the truth is you can and you should, it is the easiest way to remove negative unproductive thoughts from your mind. As the Law of Attraction shows what you concentrate on, focus on with emotion and regurgitate over in your mind you will attract more to you. Say you have had an argument with a friend or a partner. You are feeling frustrated and hurt about it and you feel that you are in the right and they are wrong. You keep playing it over and over again through your mind to prove to yourself that you were right. Each time you do this however your emotional feelings get stronger and you get more and more frustrated. Even though the event is long past and re living it is not going to help in any way, we still keep doing it and find it difficult to focus on anything else. If you are guilty of doing this, and we all are at some stage in our life, then it is time to introduce the delete button. Every time the thoughts start going through your head just say “STOP and DELETE”. This will cause you thoughts to do just that stop in their tracks. Then they will return and instead of buying into them say “STOP and DELETE” again, eventually the thoughts will stop coming and you will be able to focus on something more important and productive instead. Doing this not only makes you feel better at the time as you shift your focus to more happy thoughts but it also helps you to avoid attracting more of the same, it’s almost as if you are wishing for more dramas.
Use the delete button whenever you are worrying, stressing over a situation that hasn’t happened yet or you are predicting is going to be bad as Mark Twain once said "I've had many troubles in my life, most of them never happened" There is a big difference in analysing a situation and deciding on an action at the time the situation is in play. To going over and over a possible negative outcome that may not even happen.
Thoughts are constant and if you don't have control over them they will determine your future, present, happiness, wealth, health, relationships etc.
Studies have proved time and time again that constant negative thoughts have a detrimental effect on the body. Thoughts that create fear, worry, or stress create a fight or flight response which in turn pumps the body with adrenalin, cortisol and other chemicals which are helpful if you need to have a sudden rush of extra energy or strength to get out of a dangerous situation. But if it is just a matter of you sitting in a chair thinking about what could happen in the future or what could have happened in the past then These chemicals can cause harm to the body. Examples are weight gain (Cortisol makes the body store fat) adrenalin, which creates stress on the organs of the body if not burnt off, this makes the heart work harder and the muscles tense, high blood pressure, and shallow breathing meaning the body and cells are not getting enough oxygen to rejuvenate.
Being a member of the ‘Mind Valley Academy’ I had the opportunity to study a course created by Christie Marie Sheldon. Her course is designed to access the subconscious mind and delete the negative thoughts that create barriers to achieving your future goals and dreams. Her method is once you identify the negative belief e.g. “I will never earn more than $...........” then she says as soon as that thought comes to the forefront of your mind you say “Delete, un create and de story through all time reality and space” This deletes the belief from your subconscious whenever it was created (which you may not know). You may need to do this a few times but it has worked for me and I continue to use it to this day.
